Nafta

The online cinema Takflix presents a selection of online performances by the Kharkiv-based theater Nafta. The selection includes the absurd detective-physical comedy RAT, the post-documentary performative production LUTIY, and the fantastic dystopian play Alternative.

Nafta Theater is an alternative independent theater founded in Kharkiv in 2018. Nafta speaks on pressing issues in an interactive form — rethinking, exploring, and taking risks. On stage, the actors of Nafta seek to engage in dialogue with the audience, encouraging people to ask questions, feel, and reflect.

The performances included in the Nafta collenction are no longer staged (in part because most of the actors have been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine) and are now available exclusively online.
